The Crane Operator will operate a telescoping hydraulic crane engineered to sit atop a lattice tower structure. This position is responsible for working on water tower construction projects by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with varied experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Lift, move, position, and place materials
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Rigging knowledge
  • Frequently climb ladders
  • Ability to routinely work away from home
  • Understanding of OSHA Part 1926

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Understanding of various forming systems and requirements
  • Rodbusting
  • Concrete finishing
  • Scaffolding and erection
  • Signaling of cranes and other construction equipment

Required Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 3 years of crane operation experience performing lifts in heavy construction environments
  • Must be able to travel frequently and work at heights
  • NCCCO Crane Operator Certification
